SATRISE is an ESA-funded innovation project that brings satellite Earth Observation and advanced 3D simulation together to transform how solar irradiance is modelled for photovoltaic (PV) systems. By combining Rayference’s satellite-retrieved angular and spectral irradiance fields with LuciSun’s high-resolution GPU-based tool, LuSim, SATRISE enables far more accurate predictions of energy yield in complex environments such as bifacial PV, agrivoltaics, and urban PV.
